Movie website Fandango has interviewed director Michael Bay about his plans for the future, and they once again do not include another Transformers film. This is the fourth time Bay has made this declaration, having recanted after Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, and Age of Extinction - frequently citing an admirable desire to keep his crew together and keep them getting paid. Keep reading for a link to the full interview and the relevant quote!
The interview was part III of a "Past, Present, Future" triptych of interviews with Bay discussing his career. Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters this Tuesday night.
Those curious to see a Transformers movie not directed by Mr. Bay will not need to wait to see if he's in earnest this time: Travis Knight, director of Kubo & The Two Strings, will be helming the Bumblebee movie due out next summer.
Regardless of whether or not he continues with the Transformers movie series, we at TFormers wish Mr. Bay and his film crew the best in all their future projects.
