MPM-6 Ironhide - Is he Really a Masterpiece?

#transformers #masterpiece #ironhide

This time I look at the Transformers Movie Masterpiece MPM-6 Ironhide. This version of the character includes an accurate and licenced GMC truck mode and die-cast parts. The coloring is highly accurate. The articulation is, generally, good and he can score some dynamic poses, but the shoulders are very lacking for something calling itself a masterpiece. The conversion is complex and not really enjoyable. Neither the resulting alt mode, nor the robot, feels like enough to make it worth jumping through the many minuscule hoops that one must traverse through to change between modes. There are not only several small moving parts that can easily be overlooked but, arguably, an over-reliance on too many panels with their abundance of tabs and pegs. Check out all the details and complexities and decide what you think for yourself!
