Leadfoot - G2 - Figure

After Ransack, Leadfoot's my favourite Rotor Force toy, especially due to this scene in G2 #12*: https://rapido-online.net/g2archive/us/thecomic/images/12_page24.jpg

Sudden death by decapitation. Gotta love it.

Vehicle Mode: Leadfoot is a Lola T93 Indy car** measuring 10.5 cm(4.1") long. He's mainly yellow and blue with black tires, chrome hubcaps, a metallic silver front axle, translucent red windshield, and orange stripes. Pasted on his front and sides are stickers reading "Rotor Motor" along with the number 93, which corresponds to the year that G2 was first released, while on his spoiler are pasted stickers reading "Autobot 93" as well as the G2 logo. Leadfoot rolls well on both hard surfaces and carpet.

Winding up the blue rotor on Leadfoot's engine and then pushing in his spoiler sends the rotor spinning into the air, over seven feet vertically and over 20 feet horizontally. Oh, the sweetness of it all.

Transformation: The robot legs flip out from underneath the car, the sides unfold to become arms, and the rear of the car folds down to reveal the head.

Robot Mode: Standing 9 cm(3.5") tall, Leadfoot's probably got the best-looking robot mode of the Rotor Force toys. His upper body portion is mostly yellow while his lower portion is almost entirely blue. His head is yellow with a translucent red eye visor that glows before a strong light. He has eight points of articulation in his shoulders and elbows. His launcher fits firmly into either fist.

Overall, Susp Sez: Leadfoot is one of the better Rotor Force toys. Very nice Indy car mode, good transformation, good robot mode, kickass gimmick. 8.5/10

* Kudos to Jose "Rapido" Negron and his awesome G2 website.

** Kudos also to Doug Dlin and Harold Tietjens and their wonderful Cybertronian TF Recognition Guide #6 for providing the name of Leadfoot's car mode.
