Street Speed Team

Well, it seems that Canada just got the new mini-cons. I picked up the Street Speed Team from a K-Mart in Toronto.

No gimmicks here, just, as the back of the box states, "super articulation for exciting poses". The problem is that these little guys are loose as hell. Some ACTION POSES I created were Spiral's "lay on the ground in a catatonic slump" and Backtrack's "Touch my left arm! Now it's off!" stance. On the back of the box, Hasbro couldn't even get Oval's legs to stay extended.

Once you get them to stand up (toothpicks and tape) they look pretty nice. Kind of cute even. Much better than the ugly Race Team. I just glanced over at Dirt Boss in robot form....gah, he's ugly.

Anyway, the vehicles are nice, although plain. Thumbs up to the cool hubcaps.

Still, I can't get over how flimsy they are. It's not for kids (little ones will eat Backtrack's fly-off-because-its-fun-arm) and will find home with completists.
