Windbreaker - G2 - Figure

Sometimes you must wonder if the people who think of the colours for a Transformer must be either colour blind or wearing sunglasses, review time-

Car mode: Windbreaker looks like a kind of 80s car, you know the kinds, looks like a Corvette but isn't a Corvette. The design is pretty good really, the front is sharp looking, even though it isn't, the back wheels are a little bigger than the front wheels, so the car is tilted towards the front, making it look like it's ready for a race. The windows are a transparant pink with small orange words and the G2 Autobot symbol at the top of the windscreen. The colours though are striking, he's orange with blue on the sides and a blue rear screen, very striking with the orange indeed. Not a bad mode.

Robot mode: Quick and easy transformation later and he's standing. His engine block, which I didn't mention can be seen in his car mode, can be removed and used as his gun in this mode. The colours are now more leaning towards the blue that the orange and his chest plate is black. His shoulders are orange, as are the bottom half of his legs, blue as well since the rear of the car mode becomes his legs. The arms, top half of the legs and most of his torso are blue, the head is sliver with pink eyes. No real poseability in this mode, just stands there and looks pretty good. Not bad at all.

I like this toy, not as much as I like G2 Rapido, but I like him. Harks back to the ear just before TF's began the posers they became in Beast Wars up to RID, the idea of light piping for the eyes is good as well. Now to hope I can find Skarm and Turbofire of this team, in good condition with this guns. Hope so. An enjoyable toy if you use your imagination.
