Can't fault a Prime really, sure the Superbase version seems to have a lot of flaws, but it's still Prime and still a fun toy when you have other toys with it.
Truck mode: I think this is a truck anyway or is a truck only a truck when it has a trailer? Anyway, I'll look at his mini con first as I tend to do with Armada figures.
Over-Run is a mostly silver jet with some black and a tiny bit of blue. He's long and it ruins the idea of a sleek jet, but he does look good and gives a future feel to the mini cons range. Quick and simple transformation and he's a robot, makes me think of a G1 seeker having a slightly bad day, not my fav mode of his. Another easy transformation and he becomes a gun for Prime in robot mode and in truck mode. This mode is ok, seen better, but at least he has a use with Prime.
Optimus Prime is as you would expect for a Prime in terms of colours. He's mostly red with blue as his legs and some greys. My version has yellow headlights, I've seen there's other versions of him in pink, grey lights and one with an Autobot symbol on the front. His front grill is grey and black, mostly black and his windows are grey, I feel they should have been coloured blue instead, never mind.
He has two powerlinks in this mode, one on the roof for his robot mode and one at the back which I guess can store a thin mini con. He has plastic wheels, wish they were rubber instead, and his smoke stacks/guns are silver and you can see his fists in his blue arms. A fun mode this, has a lot of potential.
Robot mode: Very simple transformation and Prime is ready to look very small. He is very small in this mode, up against giants like Scourge(RID) and RID Prime, he looks very tiny, like his Superbase form shrunk in the wash. The colours are mostly the same as before as well.
This Prime is very poseable, almost, if it wasn't for the sticky out bits at the top of his legs in the grey areas. His head can look up, down, to the sides and up to the sides as well. His arms can be posed almost any way and if you're good with his legs, you can stand him in a very good pose indeed. His arms do get loose though after a while of use and it's a pain for battles when you wanthim aiming his gun and instead his arm just drops.
They did good with this Prime though, really. No fancy gimmicks like automatic transformation, just good old fun. And having a poseable Prime is fun, he's a great fighter for Scourge(RID), you can make them both look battle hardened.
He's a lot cheaper than the Superbase Prime and a lot smaller, he doesn't make the Super Prime mode like his bigger counterpart. He's just fun to play with and looks good in a collection, snap him up, he's worth the money.
