Jazz Smallest TF - G1 - Figures

Now, you can do it with style on a smaller scale with Takara's World's Smallest Jazz toy.

Set Includes
In vehicle mode, Jazz measures in at 2 7/16 inches long, 1 1/8 inch wide, and 5/8 inch tall. Jazz has his standard white base with red and multi-shade blue stripes on the hood, roof, and rear fenders. The number four is present on the hood and doors. Unfortunately, the doors say Meister instead of Martini like the original Jazz and the recent Spychanger.

The grill, windshield, and spoiler decals are also missing and it's noticeable if you're used to those. As with the other Smallest Autobots, Jazz' tires don't turn. The doors open and if you look inside, you can see what looks like a modified Diaclone driver seat. It's just the hollowed out backside of the upper torso, so that may be unintentional.

Start-Change-Finish

Transformation is, for the most part, faithful to the larger, G1 version. The only parts left out are the double folding of the upper torso and the sliding back of the windshield.

1. Extend the front and back of the car out and open the doors.
2. Raise the front of the car up and flip the feet up.
3. Swing the arms out from under the hood and rotate them forward.
4. Bring the hood of the car down.

Transformation Completed
Standing at 2 inches tall, Jazz is now ready to go toe-to-toe with the Smallest Decepticons. He is a faithful representation of the larger, G1 counterpart, right down to the visor and silver chest details. The feet aren't nearly as long, however, so they do look a little off by comparison.

All the decals that would normally be placed on the legs and torso are missing and so Jazz looks a little plain. Jazz still has arm articulation, though not as much. The shoulders rotate and the elbows bend slightly. One last thing, the Autobot symbol on his hood looks funny as it's stamped on top of and in the middle of the red racing stripe.

Overall
Jazz does have some issues, but most of the World's Smallest line does. All things considered, he does faithfully represent Optimus Prime's right hand 'Bot and doesn't have any parts that pop off unexpectedly like some of the other toys in this line. World's Smallest Jazz is a must have. But, I am biased on the character.
