"I know only two speeds... fast and faster."
Arcee is a fast and feisty young Omnicon. She is a dedicated warrior who has proven, time and again, that she can fight alongside the best of her Autobot teammates. Her skills with an Energon bow are unmatched. In vehicle mode, Arcee becomes a super fast sport bike and can outrun anyone who dares to challenge. Her loyalty to the Autobot cause is unquestionable, making her one of Optimus Prime's greatest warriors.
The smallest Omnicon to date, Arcee finally makes her debut as a main-line, non-exclusive, new mold. I've been waiting for an Arcee for as long as I was waiting for a Unicron toy. Sure, this isn't the same character and she doesn't have the same alt mode, but it will have to do. At least she resembles the character from the movie, can transform, and not a spider.
Arcee is a motorcycle and a nice looking one at that. The seat, front panels, and tires are black with the rest of the bike primarily white. Metallic crimson highlight her spokes, and dashboard as well as a couple spots where her robot feet are. There is also a small amount of pink in the center of the seat and above the Autobot insignia on her dash board. Below that is her Energon receptacle.
One thing others have commented on and I must agree with is that the designers did a very nice job in disguising her robot mode parts. Her most noticeable robot bits, her legs - which comprise the front sides and bottom of the bike, aren't even that noticeable at first glance.
Like her Omnicon brothers, Arcee comes with a number of Energon accessories and an Energon star. In her case, Arcee comes with two side intakes, a missile, and two tail pipes. The pipes attach to the back of the intakes at a slight angle. The intake with the launcher mechanism attaches to the right side of the bike and the other to the left. This gives her motorcycle form a bulkier look as well as some firepower.
To transform Arcee into robot mode:
In robot mode, Arcee is still the smallest of the Omnicons. Even Perceptor is taller than she. No new colors are introduced in this form, though there is more pink visible as her helmet is completely pink. He face is silver and her eyes a nice shade of blue. The face and head are a nice homage to the original Arcee character. While not capturing it completely, it seems to me that the original was in mind somewhere along the lines in her design process.
Additionally, you can position her rear tire halves above her shoulders for a different look. While she does look nice in robot mode, her articulation suffers slightly for her design, though not as badly as others. She can turn at the neck and her shoulders, wrists, and hips are on ball-sockets. She can also bend at the elbows and knees. Her hips are not as free as they could be due to the motorcycle parts on them and she lacks a waist joint.
As in vehicle mode, Arcee can use her Energon accessories in robot mode. By combining the two intakes and attaching the tail pipes to the sides, you can give Arcee a giant, compared to her anyway, long bow. She holds it by pegging the weapon into the holes in either arm. The only downside is that the weapon is so thick that she cannot aim it forward, only out to the side. However, you can turn her head and position her other arm to make it appear as though she is pulling the string back on the bow. Additionally, each intake can he held in either arm independently as separate weapons.
It's been a long wait for a proper Arcee toy and Energon Arcee doesn't disappoint. Outside of her size and slight articulation issues, she is a wonderful toy and well worth picking up if you get the chance.
