Rollbar - Altenators - Figure

Why Rollbar? Why not? In all Rollbar incarnations he has been one kind of jeep or another. The first, a Throttlebot, was an enclosed hard top jeep similar to old mail trucks. Hasbro missed an opportunity to make a new mold with the same vehicle. Should theyve
gone the extra mile?

Vehicle Mode:

Rollbar is the same mold as Swindle, only the colors have been changed. The yellow is now orangey-red. The silver motor is gold. The seats are sandy brown, just darker than the seats of Hound. The brush-guard and wheels with oversized tires are both chrome. According to the license plate Rollbar hails from Colorado. The plate is the best improvement of this mold. I was surprised that such an open interior would be left unpainted. The worst flaw with this mode is that the roll bars do not match, the rear portion that folds onto his leg is flat black while the rest of the tubing has a satin finish. This is still a great mold.

Robot mode:

Again the mold is the same. His arms are gold with black detailing. The motor on the back of his arms blends in with the rest. His waist is also gold. The legs are left unpainted on the shins. An Autobot symbol now rests on the hood in front of his head, which now has a gold visor instead of purple. Little change or improvement over Swindle, loads of improvement over Hound but Swindle has those same improvements.

Overall:

I really wish I could say more about this figure I like it, it satisfies that urge, but the only difference is the color. If you dont like yellow I suppose its a huge improvement, but as I said in my Decepticharge and Sunstreaker reviews, I love a yeller car. The Quality is just as good as it was for Swindle so if you skipped him for the color, pick up Rollbar.
