This set was an exclusive at botcon 2006. Laserbeak and buzzsaw are both a straight repaint of energon divebomb. The names are from the g1 characters and with the story of dawn of future's past, they are reformatted along with ravage, but ravage get tired of it and becomes a bounty hunter for the tripredacus council, while these two remain loyal to the decepticon cause and continue to bring about the maximals utter destruction.
Alt Mode:
Their alt modes consist if a bird. Laserbeaks main color is red with gold, blue, blakc, and silver accents. Buzzsaw has brownish-gold where laserbeaks red is andreddish-orange where laserbeaks gold is and laserbeak has a gold beak, while buzzsaw has a black beak. Other than that they have the same highlights, details, and accents. They both have a tampographed predacon symbol. They have translucent purple feathers and their translucent purple energon weapons are stored on the side of their heads. Their wings and feet are on ball joints and the claws each have a hinge joint. The head cannont move but thats not surprising.
Robot Mode:
They both retain the same colors in robot mode. Laserbeak and buzzsaw never had robot modes but as the story goes they adjusted tyo them very fast. they both have great articulation and the only joints they don't have are ankle and wrist joints, so you can get a lot of poses in with these two. The predacon symbols are now on the center of their chests. Their energon swords can form together into a boomerang or you can use them as guns, but you can't hold a gun in the right hand because of a peg that holds his alt mode head together.
Overall
These are great basic figures and are pretty good for laserbeak and buzzsaw. In their beast modes they are near perfect to their g1 forms, and now that they have robot modes, that just adds to their coolness. I like how they fit into the new story and they are just great overall. They are also the cheapest outta the botcon sets this year. I really can't find anything wrong with this mold.
