It's been a while since I've written one of these but writing a review of Divebomb felt good. Since Alternators Product line seems to be on the way out the door I thought I'd take a few moments from my busy day at work to express my opinion on a few items that so far nobody has remarked on. The subject I'm writing about today is conversion sticker sheets as offered from Reprolabels.com.
Tantrum
The alternative for Rollbar is the Decepticon Predacon Tantrum. G1 Tantrum is a bull so a Jeep Wrangler fits very well. Mix in the orangey-red color and you have a great fit. The stickers seem like a random assortment but they are inspired from the original figure which like many of the G1 products did have a random selection of detail.
The only sticker that is even close difficult to apply properly is the license plate. I admit I had to go online to see exactly where some of the stickers were intended but after seeing it I knew I could've applied them properly if I wasn't scared of screwing it up and having to purchase a second sheet.
The bot mode has one additional sticker, the flip side of the hood where the decepticon logo is hidden in vehicle mode. The stickers look.... random, but in bot mode they really shine and add to the figure. Let's face it, Rollbar was halfassed. I added some paint to his grill and tires to make him look decent but these stickers add much needed detail.
Overall this is a good sticker sheet. Nothing really ground breaking in design, just taking G1 stickers and fitting them onto an Alternator body. It's a very simple design. I guess the reason I like it is because Rollbar was so lacking in detail. Yet another Decepticon to the good-guy heavy product line. I am happy I bought this. Way to go Reprolabels.com! They've also produced a Battle Ravage-Razorclaw conversion sheet I haven't purchased yet. Now just get to work on a Swindle-Headstrong and Sideswipe-Rampage conversion sheet and we can have all of the Predacons.
