The Activators line gains some steam as we begin to see a second wave hit. Again, we have 2 Autobots and one Decepticon presented. Our first look will be at Optimus Prime.
Young and inexperienced, but also utterly fearless, Optimus Prime commands his squad of loyal Autobots with strength and wisdom. For its own reasons, the Allspark chose him to protect it, and he has sworn to do so with all his might. He is a natural leader and a powerful fighter for peace. Where he goes, his Autobots willingly follow.
This is probably the best robot mode that Activators has offered so far. The kibble is very minimal and the proportions are just about right. The head sculpt features Prime with his battle mask engaged.
The only real downer in robot mode is the tab that keeps the 2 legs attached in alt mode.
Best poseability out of any Activator so far. Very little limitations
Optimus is a bit more complicated than the others to get into alt mode. Spread out the legs, then fold out the inner wheels on each of his ankles untile they're linear with the outside wheels. Use the tab to combine the legs together. Fold the feet back so the wheels will line up with his legs. There is a pin on the wheels that fits into a hole on each thigh.
Fold in the wrists, then kink the elbows about 45 degrees and position the arms so that the first show outward. The next part is tricky. Holding the chest, push back on the lever to stretch the body out. The arms will fold into the chest cavity. Like setting a mousetrap, position the lightbar onto the 2 tabs sticking out on the roof. Move the wheels to get the preferred tilt of the chassis to complete the process.
The front of the alt mode looks pretty decent for such a small figure. Although not colored in, most of the details are there.
The back end is a mess. The Activator gimmick clutters it up and there's just too many gaps to make it plausible.
