This looks like a Test Shot / Prototype Figure and not a completed one. There is no detailing what-so-ever on it which makes it look so plain. :fail

Good luck selling it! :wat

This reminds me, I need a new Rodimus.

Off to the auctions!!!

Yikes. It looks like an unfinished prototype, which would be the only reason anyone would want this.

You people complaining that he's too plain do realize that there's probably a decal sheet in the box, right?

Emerje

You person mentioning the decal sheets do realize that it's the same color in his face, in the articulations, hands, feet, windshiled, lights, thus losing a lot of detail. (only the pipes and bumpers in silver and the spoiler in yellow, and the trailer's cannon and base in lime)

You can make a black version of a character, but it needs some different colors here and there. Man, they didn't even paint his eyes

Probably, the entry that won that contest was this:

I wont EVER buy this and never would want / nor like it. PASS

Regardless of that fact, it's still just a big black chunk of plastic, with some gaudy neon colors thrown on. I don't think decals could save it. :guh

I wouldn't pay for this. He looks like a plain silhoutte with bright yellow(?).

Not realy the best exclusive out there, but someone will still chase it doen for way to much money. So congradulations to that guy.

Lucky draw? More like sucky draw... :tfpuke

Seriously,... WTF were they thinking? Were they thinking? :scarred

Sanchimaru 2008-08-24 @ 10:52 pm

In the lucky draw contest you have to color a b/w picture of a character and send it to Takara. Then, they choose the winner and make a world unique figure with that color scheme. I sent a submission 3 or 4 years ago for the Cybertron (Galaxy Force) Optimus contest. I repainted him as Motormaster, I even had the other 4 stunticons done from toys of the same line, you can see them here. And they have those gold and silver repaints for the finalists too.

But this rodimus... He is just all black with the wings painted in yellow, and the cannon in lime... what were they thinking? Maybe they just pull out at random one of the submissions, no matter what it is, and that's the winner, hence the "lucky draw" name?
