TakaraTomy has released the stock photos for its Transformers Siege products scheduled to ship to Japanese customers in late February of 2020. This wave will include Battlemaster Singe, Micromaster Battle Patrol (Direct-Hit and Power Punch), Deluxe Crosshairs, and Voyager Apeface.
Careful use of studio lighting successfully downplays the detail-obscuring nature of the milky white plastic Apeface is now known to use, giving the toy a more favorable impression than the trade show photos we saw just recently. But these photos do very clearly show all of the battle damage deco planned for the toy, which especially in robot mode is likely to not sit well with collectors who were already critical of this stylistic choice.
Fortunately, no surprises were in store with the remaining three toys. The colors on Crosshairs look especially bright in these photos, and we can only hope that's true to the final appearance of the toy, as it's making this redeco look very attractive, where some of the prior images have not done it quite as many favors.
TakaraTomy expects to release these toys February of next year, but Hasbro markets may begin seeing some or all of them as early as November.
