WonderFest 2019 Summer - Big Convoy Unicron Destroyer Edition Coming Soon?

Takara Tomy appear to be taking advantage of the War For Cybetron Unicron release to present the planet eater's appearance in another show. In this case, the often forgotten appearance of Unicron in the Beast Wars Neo cartoon. Its a long complicated story, but in the end Unicron appears as leader of the Blendtrons in an attack on Cybertron. When Big Convoy gets a little help from a previous self, Lio Convoy, who helps him leverage the Matrix to configure a new Matrix Buster weapon to take out Unicron and company.

Amazingly, this appears to be coordinated with the recently offered Encore figure either as a whole new set with the weapon, or just the weapon as a separate release. Hopefully, the later as I have quite a few Big Convoy's already. Also worth noting is the appearance of a tiny NAVI (Gung Ho) figure - Big Convoy's flying computer assistant. Dengeki Hobby has posted their coverage of TakaraTomy's exhibit at Summer Wonderfest, including a good look at the Transformers products on display! Some notable highlights, besides the Seacons are samples of Siege Spinister, Rung, Rumble (the red one) and Ratbat all in full plastic colors. The samples seen previously at SDCC were testshots that had been hand painted to reflect their intended decos.
